Having the opportunity to go to Montana was more than just leisurely travel. This trip was made possible by Duelle Gore, founder of the non-profit “Rez Famous”. He and his team of one musician and one artist went to the Fort Peck reservation to host a free youth basketball, music, and art camp. This camp was very meaningful to the community, as camps like these are far and few between. As apparent with the images it was more than basketball, the community brought the team on many different places to see on their reservation. We were given an amazing tour of their private herd of buffalo, along with tour of “The O’Connor Ranch”. Beyond that we were able to get great views of the peaceful landscape, and to end the great trip off we were able to catch the rodeo that comes into town once a year.
