The long run

These homes come in many shapes, sizes, colors, and scents—but they all share one thing in common: they’ve been abandoned. Once, they were loved. Once, they were new. Now they sit quietly in decay—weathered, unloved, and overlooked. Many are considered eyesores, surrounded only by overgrown grass and silent trees. But in that stillness, I find beauty.

These spaces are peaceful and calm. Half the joy is simply being there, photographing in the quiet, with only the whistling wind and the occasional hum of cars on two-lane highways. With no one else around, I’m left with my  thoughts, the large format, and the quiet presence of these forgotten homes. What many see as ugly or broken, I see as calm, honest, and enduring
